As another year comes to a close we take a look back at the best live published photos of 2011. This year there have been some truly stunning images captured around the world and we’ve rounded up our favorites among the millions of photos which has swoshed through the Shootitlive system for it’s first publication hot of the photographers cameras.

Shootitlive who helps newspapers to live publish professional photos and video clips is pleased to welcome the former CTO of Spotify Andreas Ehn to it’s board of directors.

Shootitlive is reinventing press photography in the digital newsroom”, says Andreas Ehn who is joining Shootitlive’s board of directors. “With Shootitlive photojournalists don’t have to worry about deadlines but let’s them focus on what they do best, capturing great photos”.

Andreas Ehn is an entrepreneur and a well-respected advisor with a track record in technology. He’s currently a founding team member of the social gifting service Wrapp and prior to that he was the CTO of Spotify. Andreas will primarily focus on assisting Shootitlive in it’s global expansion.

Shootitlive helps newspapers to live publish professional photos and video clips. The service is intended for websites, where on-the-field photographers publish photos and video clips of current events live as they unfold, from any location with 3G coverage. Shootitlive AB was founded 2008 and is today used by Scandinavia’s largest newspapers in their online publications.

Nobel Prize live photo feed

This Saturday the Nobel Prize ceremony takes place in Stockholm and for the first time in many years we have a Swedish prize winner.
